When Borg Projects was commissioned to design, fit out and project manage the 5th Avenue Beauty Bar in Wetherill Park, we knew we had to create something special. That 5th Avenue’s customers deserved to be pampered in a gorgeous environment. We knew that the fine details would matter, and we were excited about delivering something that would stand head and shoulders above the competition.

The project began with a design concept created by Nicholas Borg. This concept was impressively presented using state of the art software. This provided a three-dimensional computer rendering that allowed the client to get a real feel of what their revamped shop could look like. Take a look at the video below!

The colour palette is sophisticated and feminine, with touches of nude pink used to bring the on-trend greys to life. Yes, it’s pretty but it’s pretty with an urban edge. Classically upholstered and embroidered custom furniture stands in stunning contrast against the concrete polished floors, and custom concrete bowls in the pedicure area. The LED lighting reflects delicately off the brass trim tiling and uniquely striking tapware. 

We designed and installed bespoke joinery and cabinetry in timber tones that add depth and warmth to the salon. Borg Projects also installed decorative moulding that elevate the space and give it a sense of class and sophistication. Barn doors are a standout architectural feature that afford the back of house rooms complete privacy.

But perhaps the most arresting element of the design is the New York inspired mural that depicts a woman with a modern-day Audrey Hepburn air about her. She overlooks the workings of the salon and she looks pretty pleased about the surroundings she’s found herself in.

We’re incredibly proud of this retail shopfitting project that is assured to stop passers-by in their tracks and draw them into the salon.
